Computer Guided Implants.

What are computer guided implants?

An implant that is placed into the bone using 3D imaging and a dental scan or impression of your teeth. Using a surgical guide allows the dentist to place the widest possible implant in the best available bone. and at the correct angle.

Is it ok to free hand placing a dental implant?

Dr. Cingel has placed hundreds of implants free handed. It is not easy and takes extra time and planning so as to reduce the risk of error. Most of the time you get the correct angle, but sometimes, an angle may have to be changed or modified in the middle of treatment. Implant placement using a computer guided surgical stent is easier, faster and safer. Surgical guides are made for nearly every implant placement. Sometimes there is no space allowed for guided surgery. That is ok, you just have to be extra careful and take your time.
